Every section of this sale has something exciting like the United States. Did you spot the rare Stock Exchange Bicentennial with inverted center? If not, look again!
Spirited bidding is almost guaranteed for several items in the China section, especially the showpiece block of twenty 1897 Empress Dowager 10 cent on 9 candarin Dull Green on the back cover. Passionate postal history collectors will have their appetites whetted by the 1888 Shanghai to Port Jefferson NY mixed franking cover. That's one of 25 Qing Dynasty postal history lots. Scarce PRC complete sheets, Mei Lan Fang S/S, Cultural Revolutions. Killer Japan and Ryukyus, too!
Our burgeoning coterie of booklet collectors will again find many desirable pieces, notably scarce Argentina, rare Belgian Congo and Estonia, strong early France, Italy and Japan, and many more.
Flight cover collectors will be "aflutter" when they peruse the Do-X, Zeppelins and First Flight covers found throughout the sale like the Do-X Newfoundland C12 flight Holyrood-London, autographed.
Finally, we want to mention the many desirable stamps starting with the United States. This section boasts four White Plains and four Graf Zeppelin sets. British Commonwealth includes GB with QV high values, 1929 £1 PUC mint and more. There's a valuable Cayman Islands collection offered intact, followed by a plethora of Japanese Occupation issues. In addition to the British, there is a wealth of France including proofs, a large selection of Germany with much specialized material, all identified by Michel, fascinating and scarce Poland prisoner of war material, Monaco Albert Durer error and the unissued Helicopter stamp plus specialized one-country collections.
As you can see from the great variety offered, we are constantly in need of better items and collections for our auctions or outright purchase. Remember, we're just a phone all or e-mail away and we travel! Good luck in your bidding.
